Welcome, Social Coyote!

Why did you subscribe to the Social Coyote in the first place?

I’ve been asking the pack this question over coffee and calls. It’s been a very fun exercise to understand why we’re here. And I’m certain of 1 thing: It’s not for my extensive knowledge of coyote facts.

Actually, that was part of the original concept. For example: a coyotes can make over 11 different types of howls, growls, yips and yaps!

Useful? Ehh (not a coyote sound)

But one thing I’ve discovered, and maybe should have known, is that we’re not just here for a list of stuff to do. We’re here for a community of San Diegans getting connected!

Actually, just knowing that there are other pack members at events has helped me settle in when I check out new events.

But I still haven’t cracked the code on how we publicly share that we’re in the pack together. Maybe custom name tags?

Howling at full volume to see who responds back does work though.

I’ll keep workshopping.

I’ve gotten to know Nick over the past year, and I’m really glad we’ve found ways to build together through the coyote.

One thing I’ve noticed about his style: Nick from avianu. is one of those people who quietly shows up, builds great things, and makes your team feel like family.

Family? That might sound like a stretch. But he’s actually working with my brother right now on a pretty cool project. More on that soon.

Here’s what I can howl about:

Nick was brought in to help Reacher with a complete SaaS redesign. They were sitting at number 20 on TikTok Shop when he joined. Now they’re number 1.

He didn’t just make it pretty. His team partnered with Reacher to design, prototype, and build features that helped doubled monthly revenue: from $40K to $80K.

That’s the kind of impact Nick quietly makes.

I’m thankful we get to team up and build together.

And yes, he still finds time to surf.
