Here are a few simple tricks:
Grab a photo. Just one can make a big difference.
Crop out empty seats. I’ll even place a silhouette of someone’s head in the corner to make the room feel fuller. (People fear the front row.)
Make the speaker look awesome. Snap a few when they’re making a strong point, with eyes open and confident posture.
Show off the venue. Many of our spots have epic patios and great views. Document it.
Thank the organizer. And grab a photo with them as you do.
We have the power to support our community and showcase their work. A little intention behind the lens can make the event live on and grow beyond the room it was in.

Let me tell you about someone who’s been quietly keeping founders out of trouble and cheering them on at every demo day and rooftop hang: Rose Bowlus of Rose Bowlus Law (RBL).
She’s been part of this community long enough to know who’s building what, what stage they’re in, and which contract clause is about to bite them in the tail.
Now she’s officially joined the pack as our first-ever Long Term Pack Partner, and I can’t think of a better fit. Rose has helped early-stage companies navigate the messy, important stuff: founder agreements, cap tables, and all those little things we say we’ll figure out later.
One founder almost handed his IP to his old employer without knowing it. Rose sniffed out the risk, coached him through the fix, and now he’s building his startup full-time with no surprises lurking in the tall grass.
But the truth is, later sneaks up fast. And it helps to have someone who knows the terrain in your pack.
