Welcome to the Social Coyote!

If we can start listening to holiday music early, then we can start being thankful a little early, too! That seems fair, right?

Here are a few of the things I’m thankful for, and I’d love to hear what’s on your list too:

  • Community leaders who bring us together every week. Organizing is hard and takes a lot of work behind the scenes. Let’s thank them at the next event we attend.

  • Offering to help someone without expecting anything in return.

  • Yes, a little rain once in a while, the variety is fun.

  • Organizers who are approachable, available, and willing to help.

  • Teaming up with Neal and Hussein to share (and learn) how to be a better connector in San Diego.

  • Everyone who takes a chance and leaves their den to adventure into the community. The uncertainty can create resistance, but the opportunity makes it worth it.

Thanks for being part of our pack, for supporting this wonderful city, and for extending a paw to connect someone new. All of these small efforts compound, making this a more connected and interesting place to live.

A founder friend was working out of his car in North County between meetings. Cool? Definitely. Flexible? Extremely. But maybe not the best look for a client call.

We called up Kelsey to see if he could pop into Downtown Works for the afternoon. In seconds, he’d leveled up from trunk-standing-desk to professional office setup. That’s one of the things I love about Downtown Works.

They’re San Diego-based, with locations all over the city, and they make it easy to look sharp in seconds.

We respect the four-wheel hustle, but sometimes you just need an office for a few calls.
