Howl Yeah It’s Monday!
No one wants to make a mistake—especially one that gets emailed out to 1,800+ coyotes. But that’s the risk of putting yourself out there. I wouldn’t exactly call this “art,” but there’s a cool Rick Rubin quote I’d like to share:
“Sharing art is the price of making it. Exposing your vulnerability is the fee.”
Art aside, there’s tremendous value in exposing yourself and sharing what you’re working on. In fact, a few of my favorite coyotes noticed and pinged me on the side to point out the error last week.
My cheeks were a bit red underneath this fur.
Each message led to a wonderful conversation and a check-in with someone I hadn’t caught up with in a while. It also showed that they care—and this is the shimmering silver lining.
It’s easy to be error-free when we hide ourselves in our dens. But putting ourselves out there and moving into the world comes with risk.
And it’s nearly impossible to grow without taking a little risk.
