🐺 Dec 8th - The Community Doorway

The San Diego events you should know about to get connected!

Welcome to the Social Coyote!

All the howls this week are brought to you by Digitizing. A shop that takes products from sketch to launch and deployment as a single team.

Welcome to the Howladays

Sometimes I go all the way back to the very first Social Coyote I ever sent just to remember where we came from (and what AI coyote art looked like back then).

What was the cover coyote in the first edition you received? A little nostalgia never hurt.

One of the things I love most about this community is that there are so many ways to get connected. My hope is that this newsletter acts as one of the front doors into the ecosystem, helping you find the right events, the right groups, and eventually the right pack that feels like your family.

We all have different goals. That’s why we share a variety of happenings each week. And truthfully, there are hundreds more that never make it into the newsletter (if you ever want the deeper cut list, send me a DM).

The point is simple. We highlight events hosted by San Diegans who are building for the right reasons, creating spaces where real community can form.

Connection almost always takes a few touches. It’s rarely the first conversation where the good stuff shows up. Sometimes it’s the third time you bump into someone that you realize you share a niche interest or a weirdly specific memory of a bar called the Thirsty Whale under a nest of bald eagles in Wisconsin.

Random? Yes. Meaningful? Also yes.

Helping people find those connection points is one of my favorite parts of the Social Coyote, and we have a few things planned for the new year to make that even more impactful.

But until then, let’s put on our holiday sweaters, enjoy the lights, and connect over hot cocoa in addition to coffee.

Howl yeah?

What’s happening this week in San Diego:

Monday, December 8

Tuesday, December 9

Wednesday, December 10

Thursday, December 11

Friday, December 12

I got to watch my brother Ti and his team build Blez Online, a custom app to unbox trading cards. I was helping them get the community off the ground before launch, so I had a front-row seat to the whole thing.

It was pretty wild seeing the earliest sketches drop into our chat, then turn into a real product.

His company Digitizing builds apps that drive businesses. Think rapid MVPs, full SaaS platforms, internal tools, e-commerce, automation, and anything that needs to go from idea to working software.

They take products from sketch to launch, handling design, development, and deployment as a single team. I’m pretty sure they can make anything you need.

I’d be happy to connect you if you’re hunting for support on your next project. And they’re happy to provide a free consultation.
