Good morning, coyote!
I don't care what anyone who's not from San Diego says about our city.
We work incredibly hard, and we build great businesses, careers, and networks here.
It just so happens that we also have insane weather, beaches, pretty great surf, fish tacos, and in that thread, an emerging food scene to be reckoned with.
Not a food newsletter or travel blog. If you disagree, continue disagreeing.
There is literally no shame in connecting for coffee in a place like this, instead of inside somewhere under the fluorescent lights.
What does any of this have to do with connecting?
A lot, really. Sunshine makes us happier, better conversationalists, and potentially improves our connections with others.
Most of us are not from here, and we're all gifted the question, where are you from originally. These are some of the best stories.
We're also gifted with that bit of wonder at how amazing it can be here.
All this aside, I don't really care what the outside world thinks of our city, as long as we're getting more connected and building really interesting businesses together.
We're in this together, under the sunshine. And we just have a higher likelihood of having our coffees iced.

The real measures are connections made, hires landed, communities joined, collaborations started, howls in public.
Those don't show up in a dashboard. I usually only hear about them months later when someone mentions it, and it fires me up every time.
