Howl yeah! It’s June.

I have a question. Does your networking journey start with a specific goal?

  • Raising funds

  • Meeting a cofounder

  • Getting more connected

How do you break this down into manageable pieces? (p.s. If you have a strategy that’s working, I’d love to hear about it!)

Like many big goals, it can make sense to slice them up into manageable pieces. Instead of “Getting more connected,” we can instead set a goal to “Meet 3 new coyotes this week.”

Here are a few suggestions of small goals that can help on your connection quest:

  • Thank an event organizer for their hard work (Organizers are very well connected!)

  • Give a 1 minute pitch to 3 new people–and watch their reaction closely

  • Share a photo from an event you’ve attended

  • Attend 2 new events this month

  • Find the line where your comfort zone ends and take one step further

These are only suggestions, but large goals without manageable pieces tend to feel much harder to achieve. Especially when the goal is potentially ambiguous like: “get more connected.”

And always remember: the pack has your back!
