Last week I checked out the Stella Launch Party at Hera Hub! Here’s a post with a few photos if you missed it.

This event was packed with bad ass woman building businesses and supporting each other at the same time. It was an honor to attend.

If you haven’t heard of Stella yet, they connects female founders with the right resources, and supports investors who fund women-led businesses.

These are 3 of the awesome woman behind the event that you should know in San Diego:

Rylie - Chief Programs Officer at Stella. Event organizer, community builder, and master of creating high-energy, well-curated spaces. If I needed a party planned, she’s my first call.

Felena - Founder of Hera Hub, now with five locations, and a champion for creating beautiful co-working spaces that empower female entrepreneurs to launch and grow.

Silvia - Founder of Stella, angel investor in over 160 startups, and one of San Diego’s strongest ecosystem builders. She’s built multiple platforms to fund, mentor, and grow women-led businesses.

Working from home is great. Until you realize you also live there, eat there, and hang out there at the end of the day.

The pendulum’s swinging back. Not like 2019, but a little separation feels good again. Grabbing coffee. Seeing familiar faces. Breaking up the routine a bit. It helps.

That’s part of why I like Downtown Works. Local, homegrown, three locations in San Diego and a fourth coming soon.

Back when I worked for Handy, I learned this the hard way. We didn’t have an office, so I worked from my kitchen table. It was fine until we started onboarding people at my house. Ten folks sweeping my living room three times a week made for a very clean apartment, but also made me realize how nice it is to work somewhere other than home.
