🐺 Nov 18: Eight Happenings and One Strategy to Get More Connected

I had one on one meetings with 2 unbelievable San Diego coyotes last week. Both are impressive in their own way. Each having an important impact on our city.

I’d originally met them at community events. Both were very interesting to me, and I was naturally curious to learn more of their story.

Over time, and after seeing them at a number of events, it felt natural to connect on a deeper level. I had no agenda and there was no ask. I was purely led by my curiosity.

I walked away with a concept that I’ve been thinking about all weekend: building a short list of coyotes whom we’d like to work with in the future. I loved this idea! I’d never really thought about connections like this before. It’s not about immediate results or closing a deal of any kind. It’s about connecting on a deeper level and building a personal pack that would be really cool to do something with later.

The origin was curiosity. Looking to learn more about the coyotes around us. There are always adventures that never surface in a public setting. Maybe they don’t fit the current season of life, or maybe they’re a bit personal.

The ultimate goal is to find something that sparks our curiosity and then we can transition to a more personal 1 on 1. But there is no race. It tends to take time, and if you can enjoy the journey and ask a question or two, this process ends up becoming extremely fun.
