This is the free version of The Social Coyote. Howl yeah!

Welcome to September! That one tree is considering dropping a few “yellow” leaves, and our event schedule just filled up with UCSD, SDSU, and USD events.

In fact, every event on September 4th is hosted on a university campus, and there are five in the next two weeks. This fires me up.

We need student founders and builders to join us, integrate into our startup communities, and stick around after graduation. There’s a longer post here that I'll let Fred Grier tackle, but young talent adds so much value to our city.

The universities can feel like their own islands. But I’d say it’s more like a neighborhood populated by 20-year-olds. And actually, if you’ve ever sat in on an entrepreneurship class, you’d get an unbelievable perspective of what needs to be solved from their eyes.
