San Diego has one of the most unique tech scenes in the country. And I’m not talking about the fact that we’re seeing founder surfs popping up or that we have an international border in our backyard.

I’ve been struggling to put my finger on it. I hear about tech in other cities and it’s different here. There’s a sense of generosity. There’s real support for the mission of connection. I’ve found, and maybe you have too, that if you need a connection, many in our community are willing to make it!

We just need to make sure we’re starting from a solid foundation, offering to help in addition to asking for help, and getting us all into the right rooms. 

A few reminders:

  • The 4th of July is right around the corner, which isn’t exactly a tech event.

  • Remember, this is not a “DoNotReply” style of newsletter. All replies go to my inbox. Send me a reply and see what happens.

  • I appreciate all the howls and every paw-sitive vibe.

    Block out noise (close windows and blinds), distract your dog (treats, white noise or music), exercise.
