Welcome to the last Social Coyote of 2025!

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been reading through your survey responses, and one thing stood out clearly.

Getting connected in San Diego does not always mean showing up to more events.

Some of you are deep in family mode. Some are commuting long hours. Some are feeling a bit of event overload. And some are watching from the sidelines, learning who’s building what, and waiting for the right moment to jump in.

All of that counts.

What many of you asked for, in different ways, was not more noise. It was more clarity. A better sense of who’s organizing, where the pockets of energy are, and how the ecosystem fits together.

That’s always been the quiet goal of this newsletter. Not to send you everywhere, but to help you understand the landscape so you can choose where to invest your time and energy when it makes sense for you.

Connection looks different for everyone. Sometimes it’s an event. Sometimes it’s knowing who to email. Sometimes it’s just recognizing a familiar name and thinking, “Ah, they’re part of this too.”
