Attended the San Diego Angel Conference last Friday. The room was packed. Maybe I saw you there?
It's easy to celebrate the founders. And we absolutely should.
A huge congrats to Sesh for taking home the gold.
But if you've been following the process getting to the finale, it's as much about the investors who went through real rigor themselves to get there. They earned their seat at the table, too.
What I find so interesting about events built like this is that they draw a cross-section of San Diego. I ran into founders, investors, mentors, and supporters all in one large room, all showing up for the city in different ways.
That's a room worth being in. And large as it was, it felt much smaller once we started recognizing faces from our community. This is the main reason I attend events like this.
